Wait a minute, I MESSED up about the rear rim. BUT I'll try to make it up to you guys. I AM GOING TO DELETE MY POST THAT YOU QUOTED. Once again, sorry for the confusion.

Without making things to confusing I had tried a 5 -spoke magnesium 916 wheel on a Hypermotard and the spokes were hitting the brake. I was assuming the set-up was the same on the 848 as the Hyper.

I talked to that Travis guy at Ducati Indianapolis and he said he would post some pics and straighten this all out. Take it away Travis.

OK, Eddy was partially correct. A 916 10 spoke Mag Machesini and a 916 3 spoke aluminum wheel will fit. A 5 spoke Mag will not fit, it hits the caliper. If you get a set of 916 style wheels they can fit a 848 with some work. The new Carrozzeria V-Star wheels on my S4RS are 916 style. The rear is fine but the front needs a speedo spacer and then 748R rotors. 748R are the only 6 bolt 15mm offset rotors.

10 Spoke Mag CLEARS

3 Spoke Aluminum CLEARS

5 Spoke Mag HITS

I finally had to suck it up and just buy a new front and I have a local that said he can fix the dip in the back wheel. definately a lesson learned and an expensive one at that
